New Kinex Integrated Shoulder™
The Kinex Integrated Shoulder™ consists of four components—a combination of smart technology—that when used together, benefit users with both ease of use and maximum effectiveness. These basic components are: theKinex SlingAlign™ shoulder immobilizer, Kinex KS2™ CPM device, Kinex ThermoComp™, and TENS unit. The Kinex SlingAlign™ is unique, as it does not have to be removed during passive exercise in the Kinex KS2™ CPM device, helping to maintain structural integrity following the repair. The Kinex KS2™ CPM device delivers true passive exercise similar to a physical therapist by segmenting scapular abduction and external rotation motion. The Kinex ThermoComp™ is easy to use with push-button activation, delivering pre-programmed cold-compression and contrast-compression. A TENS unit is used for pain management when the patient is not using the Kinex ThermoComp™ or the Kinex KS2™ CPM device. This home-based rehabilitation program has demonstrated cost reductions of $990 or more per patient.* In addition, most insurance companies limit the number of physical therapy visits covered per calendar year. By utilizing the Kinex Integrated Shoulder™ during the 1st phase of rehabilitation, limited physical therapy visits can be banked for maximum effectiveness during the 2nd and 3rd phases of the rehabilitation program. *Royer C, Kolowich P, Jasper C, Donahue M, Havstad MA: Evaluation and Cost Analysis in use of Continuous Passive Motion After Repair of Rotator Cuff Tears.
